Bhavnani family, the founders, established Calibre Chemicals in Sarigam, Gujarat that expanded over the years to today a six acres multi product multi-facility Campus.

Added Electrochemical plant to manufacture Potassium Iodate
Calibre established India’ first large scale Potassium Iodate plant using Electrochemistry. This is today Worlds’ largest Potassium Iodate manufacturing plant with Electrochemistry.
Company expanded the Potassium Persulphate manufacturing Capacity to cater the increasing demand of Indian market.

UNICEF Partnership
Calibre partnered with UNICEF to support global Salt Iodization Program addressing children and adult malnutrition. The Calibre- Unicef partnership continued ever since.Â

Extended Green Chemistry Electrochemical platform to manufacture Perchlorates
Calibre Developed its electrochemistry platform further and started manufacturing Sodium Perchlorate. Calibre emerges as the largest merchant manufacturer of Sodium Perchlorate in India.

Iodine Derivative Business Expansion
Company developed Inorganic Iodides and launched several products to address the Iodine derivate needs of several end markets, animal feed, pharamceuticals, polymers and oil and gas.

Company established a subsidiary in Belgium, Calibre Europe BV for near presence to our European customers.

Recognition by Government of India
calibre was conferred Start Trading House status by Govt of India because of its expanding international business and contribution to the Indian Foreign Exchange kitty.
To meet the demand of expanding customer base, Company expanded Persulphate capacity and emerged as the largest Potassium Persulphate manufacturer in India.

Started Calimara Matters
After Calibre became a recognized partner of several space agencies for the Civil Aerospace programmes. Company helped establish a sister company Calimara Matters to further expand the Perchlorate capacity. Calimara set up Perchloric Acid manufacturing plant and ventured into Custom manufacturing of Perchlorate Derivatives.

Calibre Everstone Partnership and further expansion
Everstone partnered with Calibre and Calimara to start a new phase of growth for the Company.
With further expansion of Persulphate capacity, Outside China, calibre is the largest manufacturer of Potassium Persulphate in Asia.

Calibre acquires RheinPerChemie GmbH from Evonik
Calibre Chemicals has acquired RheinPerChemie GmbH from Evonik, a company based out of Germany. RheinPerChemie GmbH is a prominent manufacturer of ammonium and sodium persulphates in Europe.
With this acquisition, Calibre becomes a global, full-range persulphates supplier with ammonium, sodium and potassium persulphate manufacturing capabilities.

Calibre has acquired the R&D and Product Development of Bengaluru-based Tina Life Science. With this development, Calibre further enhanced its R&D capabilities and advance in the field of complex organic chemistry.
